Tomato Cream Sauce
Ingredients:
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
5 onions diced
5 cloves minced garlic
1-100 oz can diced tomatoes
2 Tbsp dried basil
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 1/2 cups whipping cream
1/4 cup butter
Directions:
In a saucepan, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil over medium heat.
Add tomatoes, basil, sugar, oregano, salt and pepper.
Bring to boil and continue to boil 5 minutes or until most of the liquid evaporates.
Remove from heat; stir in whipping cream and butter. Reduce heat and simmer 5 more minutes.
Cool in Shallow container before storing.
