Yogurt Herb Bread
Ingredients:
1 cup white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp of salt
4Tbsp melted butter
2 eggs
1 cup yoghurt
1/3 cup honey
1 tsp of dried dill
½ tsp oregano
½ tsp thyme
½ tsp tarragon
1 Tbsp each parsley and chives
Directions:
1. Mix the dry ingredients in a medium sized bowl.
2. In a large bowl beat together the butter, eggs, yoghurt and honey.
3. Stir the herbs into the liquid ingredients.
4. Add the dry ingredients to the liquid ingredients and stir to combine. Do not over mix.
5. Place the batter in a large, sprayed loaf pan and bake for 40-50 minutes.
*This bread improves with age-the flavour of the herbs becomes stronger.
