Sugar Cookies
Preheat oven to 325F
Ingredients:
4 cups all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups of butter
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 large eggs
1 Tablespoon vanilla
Instructions:
1. In a medium bowl measure the flour and salt - stir to combine.
2. In a large bowl cream the butter with the sugar until smooth and light.
3. Add the egg and vanilla, and beat until well mixed. Scrape down the sides.
4. Add the flour mixture. Blend on low speed just until combined.
***Do not over mix***
5. Gather into a ball and refrigerate for 1 hour.
6. Flatten the ball into a disc.
7. On a floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness (thin).
8. With a cookie cutter, cut the dough and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 13- 15 minutes.
***Decorate with coloured sugar or sprinkles***
