Christmas Cranberry Cream Cheese Squares
Ingredients
2 cups unsifted flour
1 1/2 cups oats
1/2 cup + 1 Tbsp firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup butter or margarine softened
1- 8 oz package cream cheese
1-14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 can whole cranberry sauce
2 Tbsp corn starch
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
With a mixer, beat oats, flour, and ¾ cups sugar and butter until crumbly.
Set aside 1 1/2 cups of the crumble mixture; press remaining mixture on the bottom of a greased 13’x9” pan.
Bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned
With a mixer, beat the cream cheese until fluffy.
Gradually beat in the eagle brand milk until smooth.
Stir in the lemon juice.
Spread onto the baked crust.
Combine cranberry sauce, corn starch and the remaining sugar. Spoon over the cheese layer.
Top with reserved crumb mixture.
Bake 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool and cut into bars.
