Student Health Inspection Report
All commercial establishments selling food in Ontario are required to be inspected regularly by the local health department. Our school kitchens are inspected annually by the local health inspector to ensure that food safety is maintained. All Food School students undergo food safety training before we begin food preparation. In order to reinforce and apply the knowledge you have learned, you may be asked to act as a junior health inspector during class. The following report is similar to the one you will be required to complete during class and outlines some of the expectations and actions we (students, chef/sous chef and you as a health inspector) must take in the event of a food safety infraction. Completed health inspection forms will be handed in at the end of the class and will be evaluated for accuracy.
