Pecan Bars
preheat oven to 350F
Ingredients:
Crust
1/3 cup of icing sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup of butter
Topping
2/3 cup of melted butter
½ cup of honey
3 tablespoons of heavy cream
½ cup of brown sugar
3 ½ cups of shelled pecans, coarsely chopped
Method:
1. Sift the sugar and flour together. Stir to combine.
2. Cut in the butter with a pastry cutter until fine crumbs form.
3. Pat crust into a buttered pan lined with parchment.
4. Bake for 20 minutes and remove from oven.
5. Mix melted butter, honey, cream and brown sugar together
6. Stir in the chopped pecans.
7. Spread over the crust.
8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 20 - 25 minutes.
