Meatloaf
Ingredients
2 lb ground beef
1/2 cup onion, chopped
3/4 cup oats, uncooked
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp thyme
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup tomato juice
2 eggs, beaten
Topping 2Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
4 strips bacon
Directions:
1. Combine beef, aggs, onions, oats, Worcestershire sauce, tomato juice and seasoninga in a bowl.
2. Mix together with your hands being careful not to overmix. Pack firmly into an ungreased loaf pan.
3. Brush with brown sugar/mustard combination and top with bacon strips.
4. Bake in a preheated 350 degrees F oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165F.
5. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
